BrakeNutz™ lighted truck nutz!

What I know about truck nuts.

The first time I saw a pair of truck nuts on a pickup we were driving over Snoqualmie pass in Washington State and we passed an older pickup as we were winding up the mountain. We were going quite a bit faster than the old truck and as we passed I thought I had seen that the old truck acutally had its own balls. I did a double take and thought, yep, that truck has testicles hanging back there. I even had to slow down and take another closer look just to make sure I wasn't making something up in my own mind. My wife and I were laughing and decided that the old truck definitley had its own nuts hanging near its rear axle area.

A few months later I got on the internet and started looking for truck nuts. I hadn't seen any in the stores and had been kinda wondering where a guy would buy these things. I found there were a handful of websites selling truck nuts, or truck balls as they're sometimes called. There was a brand called TruckNutz out of Florida that were perfectly symmetrical and smooth. There was a brand called Your Nutz out of Santee California that were wrinkled with veins and one nut hung a little lower. There were some that looked like they came from a bull out of Bullhead City Arizona. These were just a bit larger, but much heavier and more costly. Then there were some that looked just like the Your Nutz truck nuts called Bumper Nuts, but they were made of aluminum. Not only did they charge more for their truck nuts, but they were more costly to ship. Their website was hard to navigate and their comments were full of negative energy, so I avoided this brand. The Bumpernuts truck nuts were more expenisve because they were made of aluminum. Also, they would have been painted on the outside, which I thought would lead to possible chipping or scratching. The TruckNutz and Your Nutz were made of pure polyproprylene plastic and the color was all the way through. We bought a case of each of the TruckNutz truck nuts and the Your Nutz truck nuts for our retail gift shop, but my wife wouldn't let me put the truck nuts out on display with the other merchandise. She said the truck nuts didn't really "go" with the botique and antiques theme of the old store. So she made me keep the truck nuts in a closet and every chance I got I would show customers the truck nuts. People thought these things were hilarious and they sold fairly well despite their garrish appearance.

Well now there are about 50 different kinds of truck nuts out there as well as accessories. There's camo truck nuts and chrome plated truck nuts, glowing truck nuts, pink truck nuts, flourescent orange truck ntus, truck nut keychains, and my personal favorite: lighted truck nuts. The lighted truck nuts, or BrakeNutz™ as I like to call them can come in many different variations. You can have two, four, or more super bright leds installed in your these nuts. You can have different colors installed. These lighted truck nuts are funny and useful. They light up when you step on the brakes, and they blinker when you use your turn signals. What will they think of next?
